Myerstown, PA - Sept. 3rd, 2009:  Over the off season Ray Evernham purchased the East Lincoln Speedway in Stanley, NC and has been busy promoting the 2009 season. This beautiful high banked 3/8 mile oval features IMCA style modifieds, Limited Sportsman, Renegades, Mini Sprints, 4 Cylinder Stocks and packs the place week after week.

Evernham offers the competitors of his other divisions a match race with 2 of his SpeedSTR's versus him in his famed 98 STR. Evernham's generosity has given drivers the opportunity to get behind the wheel of these exciting open wheel race cars.

 On August 8th, 2009 Chris Stowe a weekly racer in the Sportsman division (second in points) would square up against Evernham and Ronnie White who is the point leader of the Sportsman division. The three would race wheel to wheel, lap after lap on the tacky red clay of East Lincoln Speedway. Stowe would seize the moment and pick up the victory over Evernham and White.
